Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Unemployment is still high

In the opinion of Jacek Brzozowski, an expert of the Employers of Poland, the unemployment rate in August, amounting to 13.0%, indicates that despite the gradual improvement in the economic situation, there are no clear or positive developments in the labour market.

- In the situation where economic growth remains fairly low, one should not expect a significant improvement in the labour market in the following months - says Jacek Brzozowski. He emphasizes that despite some signs of economic recovery, employers are still wary of increasing employment. Therefore, one should continue to reform the regulations concerning the labour market in such a way as to contribute to maximizing employment in the economy.
