On November 17th, 2010 the President of the Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski together with the Vice-President Janusz Pietkiewicz held a meeting with the Chinese business delegation from the Tianjin region. The Head of the delegation was Mr. Wang Yuying – the President of the Tianjin Sister-City Council for the Promotion of Enterprises (TSCPE).
The delegation consisted of representatives from nine companies from pharmaceutical, paper, steel, textiles, precision and real estate business sectors, which came to Poland by the invitation of Bogdan Golika – the President of G&K Asia Euro Consortium, who at the same time is the President of EU-China Institute.
The main theme of the meeting was the cooperation and assistance to Chinese companies from the Tianjin region in promotion of Polish exports to China. The President of the Employers of Poland Andzej Malinowski referred to the business mission to China in November, during which the Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak and Deputy Minister of Chinese Trade Jiang Zengwei signed declaration. This document aimed to strengthen the relationship between two countries and support the Polish export. President Malinowski stated that there is an interest in cooperation and infrastructure investment enterprises both in Poland and China. He emphasized that Polish business is open towards Chinese partners, but noted that Chinese entrepreneurs who are eager to lead business activities in Poland should keep to the standards of employment conditions. – We are sensitive to dumping strategy of acting. We are aware that they are not applied in China, but unfortunately we may experience them in Poland – said the President of the Employers of Poland.
The Chinese partners declared their willingness to cooperate and welcomed the declaration of support in case if they would encounter the difficulties while launching economic projects in Poland. In turn, they assured that they are ready to provide any assistance to entrepreneurs planning to enter the Chinese market within the Tianjin region.
