Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



An invitation to participate in the Polish Section of BIAC


We would like to kindly encourage you to participate in the Polish Section of the Polish Committee of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee.


BIAC is an independent international association of business representatives. It is the only official advisory body to the OECD representing entrepreneurs and promoting their interests


Participation in the Polish Section of BIAC, active since 1996 within the structure of the Employers of Poland gives an opportunity to:


  • present the views of Polish business on an international forum;
  • exert influence on international regulations and contribute to solutions favorable for business activity through elaborating recommendations and opinions, which BIAC presents to  OECD decision makers;
  • exchange knowledge and experiences among experts and businessmen on an international forum, including promoting Polish solutions abroad;
  • strengthen contacts between representatives of companies associated in the Employers of Poland and involved in the works of various BIAC committees and working groups.
  • establish contacts with entrepreneurs form other member countries – potential business partners.


BIAC activities encompass 38 thematic areas, among others : economy, management, innovation, social issues, sustainable development and developing markets. The works of committees and groups is planned according to particular priorities and tasks, the organization’s needs and members’ initiatives.


Every BIAC group meets twice a year. Everyday cooperation is made possible with the aid of teleconferences. Participation in BIAC is free of charge, companies cover the costs of flight and accommodation for their representatives participating in committee sittings. Sittings are held in English.  


As of today, the Polish section has 16 members who represent the Employers of Poland in 13 committees and work groups. Since 2011, the Section is chaired by vice president of the Employers of Poland Mariusz Gaca.
