According to experts of the Employers of Poland, the draft of the Prime Minister’s order on signing and fulfilling contracts for hospital treatment is harmful for institutions with ophthalmology wards.
The draft includes a.o. a 35% decrease in the valuation of treatment for cataract without complications. This drastic change was not justified in any way and does not reflect actual costs of qualification, diagnosis and operation. In reaction to this, the Nationwide Association of Private Hospitals – a member of Employers of Poland – has issued an in inquiry to the Chairman of NFZ (National Health Fund) regarding the procedure for calculating the costs on which the suggested benefit valuation was based.
