Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The project that was supposed to increase the powers of labour inspectors fell through

The Employers of Poland strongly welcomed the decision to vote down the project entitling labour inspectors to issue orders to replace civil-law contract with employment contract.

- The proposal prepared by a group of PiS deputies was completely ill-considered, and in addition, contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland - says the expert of the Employers of Poland, Wioletta Żukowska.

The expert points out that as a consequence of the amendment proposed by the PiS deputies, the employment relationship would be determined by the order, which is by an administrative decision.

- We recognize the pathologies and the misuse of term contracts and, therefore, declare a willingness to talk about it. But proposing such controversial and inconsistent with our legal system solutions under the banner of the fight against civil-law contracts will certainly not improve the situation of the people working in this form – says Żukowska.
