Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

One-stop shopping may eventually come into being

According to the expert of the Employers of Poland, Jacek Cieplak, the government amendment to the Act on the National Court Register, adopted at the government’s Tuesday's meeting, is a good piece of news.

The purpose of the amendment is to speed up the business registration process and to facilitate amendments in the registrations in the National Court Register.

- We finally leave the unnecessary repeated filling out of the same data in multiple application forms - says the expert of the Employers of Poland, Jacek Cieplak. One form of the National Court Register will then be forwarded by the court to the competent authorities, among others to the Tax Office and the GUS (Central Statistical Office). - If only the computerized system meets the task, it will certainly be a great convenience for entrepreneurs - says Cieplak. - It's high time to improve the operation of the so-called one-stop shopping that for 4 years has not been working as it was announced, and it does not facilitate the establishment of business – even though it was expected by entrepreneurs – adds the expert. In his opinion, what is the most important is to shorten the wait for a real opportunity to take business action. - Today we have to wait about a month after the submission of the documents to the appropriate authorities. After the amendment to the Act on the KRS (National Court Register) it is supposed to be only seven days, and exactly such changes in regulations are needed to develop entrepreneurship in Poland - ends Cieplak.
