In the opinion of Piotr Wołejko, an expert of the Employers of Poland, the climate targets for 2030 proposed by the European Commission imply additional problems for Polish and European entrepreneurs and the EU citizens.
The objectives of the Commission are as follows: a forty per cent reduction in the greenhouse gas emissions as well as the EU-wide twenty seven per cent level of the share of renewables in the total energy production. - It is difficult to combine the current model of climate and energy policy of the EU with ensuring the competitiveness of the European economy. Moreover, high energy prices are increasingly affecting the citizens – a poverty of energy is spreading - says the expert of the Employers of Poland, Piotr Wołejko.
However, stressing the importance of energy efficiency should be positively assessed.
