Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The European Commission's ideas concerning the necessity of non-financial reporting open to doubt

For several years, a discussion has been ongoing about the introduction of mandatory reporting on non-financial issues for enterprises in Poland. Poland is the country that is strongly blocking the imposition of such regulation, whereas the EU is accelerating the work in this respect.

On 17 December 2013, the European Parliament Legal Committee accepted the report on disclosure by companies in their annual reports of non-financial information relating to; among other things; social matters, labour and environmental issues, respect for human rights, the countering of corruption and bribery.

According to Katarzyna Rózicka, Director of Dialogue Department of the Employers of Poland and a member of the jury of the "Social reports" competition, publishing reports on the socio-environmental activity is good practice, but being too hasty in imposing regulations in this respect may generate further financial and time costs for companies, and at the same time it is unlikely that it will significantly affect the transparency of the activity of enterprises.
