GDP figures – 2013 was a bad year, but we are in for a significant upturn

30-01-2014

According to Łukasz Kozłowski, expert of Employers of Poland, the recent GUS assessment of the real dynamics of GDP growth in 2013 suggests that the economic revival in Poland is going strong.

- After the third quarter, which exceeded all expectations, a weaker growth at the end of the year was commonly expected. However, it seems like we will continue to be pleasantly surprised by Poland’s good economic results. A GDP growth by 1.6%  in  2013 implies a fourth quarter growth of 3.0 – 3.4% year to year, while most economists estimated that we can only count on a growth rate of 2.5 % at most – says the expert.
