Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Lack of National Operator of Energy Minerals (NOKE) will facilitate shale gas extraction

- The retreat from setting up NOKE, which was announced by Maciej Grabowski, the Minister of the Environment, is in line with the demands of the mining industry and the Employers of Poland - said Piotr Wołejko, an expert of the Organisation.

There was no need to set up another institution with vague powers and a 5 per cent share in each mining concession. The interests of the State Treasury can be safeguarded in other ways.

This decision also cuts short the dispute with the Ministry of the State Treasury concerning control of NOKE that negatively affected the atmosphere created around the extraction of shale gas. What's more, it engaged officials in pointless and unproductive disputes; while the shale gas investors were either retreating or could not wait for decisions enabling them to continue the work.
