Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The dismissal of the President of UOKiK (Office of Competition and Consumer Protection) is a good decision of Donald Tusk

- I accept with satisfaction the decision to recall Ms. Krasnodębska-Tomkiel from the position of the President of the UOKiK (OCCP) - although the fact that the cancellation occurs only today is unfortunate – says Andrzej Malinowski, the President of the Employers of Poland.

Ms President - instead of providing protection of competition and consumer rights - tried to build from her office another secret service with the right to provocation or with the powers that give her the ability to punish entrepreneurs without passing judgment on them. Instead of contributing to the establishment of the office geared towards the negotiation model that strives for prevention of the pathology formation – she preferred to play the sheriff, deciding for entrepreneurs on the direction of the development of markets.

I hope that the new President will return to the roots of this office. I believe that this time the UOKiK (OCCP) will be led by an economist, not a lawyer, who understands market mechanisms, and not just the letter of the law. I also hope that the Prime Minister will restore the principle of rotation in office, because the lack thereof is pathology in a democratic state of law.

It is also worth considering such changes in the law that will make UOKiK (OCCP) take the decisions concerning entrepreneurs collegially, rather than individually.
