Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

The support for older employees points in the good direction

On Thursday February 6, the parliamentary sub-committee on the draft amendment to the Act on employment promotion and labour market institutions concluded its work. Monika Zaręba, an expert of the Employers of Poland, commends the proposals submitted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

New solutions provide, inter alia, for a 12-month subsidy for remuneration for employment of people over 50, and if the unemployed is 60 years of age - a 24-month subsidy. The establishment of National Training Fund from the part of the Labour Fund’s resources should also be favourably evaluated. The education and staff training of employees over 45 will be subsidized as part of National Training Fund’s activity.

The elderly unemployed will also be able to use the telework or the stimulus payment from regional programs initiated by province marshals, as well as a loan from the Labour Fund to create jobs or take up business activity. We should give positive recognition to the solutions that facilitate the return to the labour market, inter alia, through a program of Activation and Integration, support by private employment agencies or tripartite training agreements.
