Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Science and business should cooperate more closely

On March 5 2014, Employers of Poland presented the main themes of this year’s Polish Economic Congress, the motto of which will be “Science for Business, Business for Science”, at a conference in Lublin.

The participants unanimously agreed that Poland’s future depends on how entrepreneurs use their knowledge. For this reason, Employers of Poland have initiated a nationwide debate on the desired form of the economy – education – science system. – Invitations were sent to several hundreds of university rectors and business representatives – said President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski.

The Polish Economic Congress will be crucial to this debate – during this event scientists and businessmen will look for systemic solutions for developing their cooperation, which currently leaves a lot to be desired.

The conference took place at the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University and was attended by scientists from all over the country, businessmen and representatives of the local administration of the Lublin region.
