The Energy Platform of the Employers of Poland held a session on preparation for the Polish-German Energy Summit in Berlin. The meeting in the headquarters of the Employers of Poland was attended by representatives of energy companies, politicians, diplomats and business organizations.
The summit will be held on June 12th. The Employers of Poland are organizing it jointly with the DIHK (German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and the Polish Embassy in Berlin. During the meeting, the Platform also raised the subject of renewable energy sources and the situation on the energy market of the Community.
Special invitations to participate in the Energy Platform were accepted by Stephan Kohler, Chief Executive of the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Chairman of the Economic Council of the Prime Minister, Jerzy Pietrewicz, the Deputy Minister of Economy, and Waldemar Pawlak, former Deputy Prime Minister. The business was represented by Henryk Majchrzak, President of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (Polish Power Grids), Jaroslaw Zagórowski, CEO of JSW, Roman Łój, President of the Katowice Coal Holding, Marcin Moskalewicz, President of PERN "Przyjaźń", Kazimierz Nowak, President of EuRoPol Gaz and representatives of the largest energy companies.
The purpose of the Summit in Berlin is to develop cooperation between Polish and German businesses and to discuss common goals and discrepancies in the energy field. It will bring together representatives of state authorities, energy companies and experts. A Summer Festival of Polish and German Business is planned for the afternoon of the same day. It will take place in the Orangery of the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin. Invitations to participate in the event have been extended to the President of Poland and the President of Germany - Bronisław Komorowski and Joachim Gauck .
