Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



New members of Employers of Poland

  •  Morska Stocznia Remontowa Gryfia S.A.  (Gryfia S.A. Sea Repair Shipyard)


 The shipyard was established in a fusion of Sea Repair Shipyard in Świnoujście and Gryfia Shipyard in Gdynia.


The company has over 800 employees in Świnoujście and Gdańsk. The biggest shareholder is MARS Closed Investment Fund with 80.29 percent of shares, employees own 12.24 percent shares and the Treasury 7.46 percent.


The shipyard’s key assets are:

  • 17.7 ha in Szczecin and Świnoujście,
  • 1493.7 metres of coast in Szczecin and 661 metres in Świnoujście,
  • six floating docks with bearing capacities of 17 000, 6 000, 5 500, 4 500, 3 500 and 500 tons,
  • three dock pontoons  (1 460 – 1 550 tons),
  • pontoon lift with a bearing capacity of 1 700 tons.


The Gryfia Shipyard was a member of Employers of Poland in 2009-11.
