Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Establishing a codification committee for tax law is a step in the right direction

The Ministry of Finance has applied to the government planning team with a motion to establish a codification committee for tax law, which will include a.o. employers’ representatives. – This is a good decision, as guidelines for the new “tax code” will largely apply to business – says expert of Employers of Poland Mariusz Korzeb.

The task of the committee will be to prepare guidelines for the new Tax Code, which will substitute the current Tax Ordinance, which has been a part of the Polish legal system for over 15 years.

However, in order to ensure basic taxpayer protection, it would worthwhile to conduct a systematic campaign promoting the improvement of relations between entrepreneurs and officials, as suggested by Employers of Poland. Such a campaign could involve pointing out the problems stemming from the bureaucratic approach of tax authorities which are a hindrance to proper functioning of companies.
