Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Małopolska: enormous growth potential


Sub-regional development based on Cracow’s strengths, reindustralization of areas where industrial activity has stopped and the need for a change of mentality in higher education – these themes were the core of the  Region – Economy – European Union conference held on May 21st at the International Culture Center in Cracow.


The conference was attended by: Marshall of the  Lesser Poland Voivodeship Marek  Sowa; Vicepresident of Employers of Poland Andrzej Długosz; Czesław Siekierski (PSL); President of the Industry and Trade Chamber in Cracow Andrzej Zdebski; Konrad Hernik, Chairman of Armatura Kraków; Wiesław Bury from the Lesser Poland Regional Development Agency; Paweł Przewięźlikowski, Chairman of Selvita; Dariusz Szewczyk (Polish Agency for Entrepreneurship Development; Wiesława Kornaś-Kita, Chairwoman of the Cracow Technology Park; Tomasz Szelągowski (Polish Patients’ Federation) and Andrzej Szejna (SLD).


The conference concluded with a Regional Flavors' Festival, where participants could taste traditional regional cuisine. 


The Cracow Technology Park and the Lesser Poland Voivodeship were partners of the event.
