Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Cooperation and coordinated action is what counts


Support for innovation, the need for cooperation between regional economic entities and encouragement for local entrepreneurship were the topics of  Region – Economy – European Union conference, which was held on May 21st in Toruń.


The debate was opened by Mirosąłw Ślachciak, Vicepresident of Employers of Poland and Chairman of Employers of Kuyavia and Pomerania. He stated that the conference would provide voters with an opportunity to assess whether the candidates would be engaged in work for the region’s economic growth.


The first discussion panel was attended by: Jan Vincent-Rostowski (PO);  Jacek Kostrzewa (NP); Teresa Kamińska, Chairwoman of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone and Andrzej Wosik, Prezes Chairman of  EBUD Przemysłówka.


Participants of the second panel were : Urszula Iwicka (SLD), Tadeusz Zwiefka (PO) , Tomasz Kruszewski (T KOMP Tomasz Kruszewski) and Krzysztof A. Wojciechowski (co-founder and Board Member of Grados).


The conference concluded with a Regional Flavors' Festival, where participants could taste traditional regional cuisine prepared by the Polish Chamber of Regional and Local Products.


The Marshall’s Office and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. Marshall of the Voivodeship Piotr Całbecki assumed honorary patronage over the conference.
