Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

What should be the vision for the development of the Lublin region?

Agriculture or innovation? This question was one of many touched upon by candidates to the European Parliament and entrepreneurs at the Lublin installment of the Region – Economy – European Union conferences, held on May 22nd.

The conference was attended by Marshall of the Lubelskie Voivodeship Krzysztof Hetman (PSL) and Rafał Stachura of SLD, while business was represented a.o. by dr Henryk Łucjan of the Foundation for the Development of Lubelskie and Zbigniew Marchwiak of the Crafts and entrepreneurship Chamber in Lublin.

This conference was the final of the Region – Economy – European Union series organized by Employers of Poland and was an opportunity to summarize and assess the initiative. According to president of Employers of Poland, Polish companies have coped well with the demands of the common EU market and are able to compete with entrepreneurs from other member states. For this reason, Polish representation in the European parliament is particularly important, as Polish parliament members ought to focus their efforts on supporting solutions beneficial for domestic entrepreneurs.

The conference concluded with a Regional Flavors' Festival, where participants could taste traditional regional cuisine prepared by the Polish Chamber of Regional and Local Products.

The Mielec Special Economic Zone was the partner and PZL Świdnik the patron of the event.
