In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Employers of Poland participated in a doctoral and habilitation nomination gala at the Warsaw University of Technology. It is in that building that the Confederation of Polish Employers, the predecessor of our Organization, was established 25 years ago.

The gala was held on June 16th at the Warsaw University of Technology. It is one of the events organized by the university to celebrate 25 years of freedom of science. Changes in  Polish science in the last quarter of a century was the topic of a lecture held by Andrzej Smirnow PhD. The Medal of the Warsaw University of Technology was also presented by rector Jan Szmidt PhD to Elżbieta Dudzińska, former director of the University’s Main Library.

Vicepresident of Employers of Poland Janusz Pietkiewicz attended the gala. As he reminded, the celebration coincided with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the biggest and oldest employers’ organization in Poland – Employers of Poland.

The first National Assembly of Employers’ Organizations was held at the Palace of the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology on November 24-25th 1989. At the Assembly, 9 employers’ associations established the Confederation of Polish Employers, now known as Employers of Poland. To commemorate this occasion, a plaque will be unveiled at the Palace in autumn.
