Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Too easy access to financial professions could be harmful for entrepreneurs

The so-called third deregulation package will come into force on August 1st. It is supposed to simplify the access to professions such as a.o. accountant and tax advisor. – Some of the changes go too far – warns tax expert of Employers of Poland Mariusz Korzeb.

Opening access to financial professions could be risky for business, as after the act comes into force, anyone will be allowed to keep tax books. To avoid problems, entrepreneurs should chose someone with good qualifications and reputation. It is all the more important as errors in tax books are strictly penalized.

Proponents of deregulation argued that the prices of financial services would go down as a result. However, that will not be the case. A tax advisor or accountant is obliged to pay the OC insurance premium. Reinsurance companies are concerned with an influx of unqualified advisors, will increase the premiums and the costs will be most likely transferred to consumers.
