In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

This year, the Polish Economy Congress will focus on cooperation between science and business

Preparations for the Polish Economy Congress, organized by Employers of Poland, are underway.

 

The Congress will be attended by scientists, businessmen and representatives of state administration. – At the Congress, recommendations and guidelines on facilitating the cooperation between business and science will be presented ­– says professor Wiesław Banyś, rector of the University of Silesia.

 

Politicians and officials will attempt to diagnose a.o. key weaknesses of the Polish incentive system for entrepreneurs to implement innovative solutions. They will also consider ways for the government to influence the innovativeness of Polish economy and take advantage of opportunities provided by the new EU financial perspective, a significant portion of which is intended for development of innovation.  

 

–  We already have some relevant diagnoses – says professor Michał Kleiber, Chairman of  the Polish Academy of Sciences. – It is about time we tried to translate our knowledge to specific regulations. The Congress could play an important part in this process  – adds professor, who is ­– together with prof. Banyś – a member of a working team formulating the recommendations to be presented at the conclusion of the event.

 

The Second Polish Economy Congress will be held on October 22-23rd 2014, at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
