Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Full digitalization of the National Court Register will improve business transactions

– E-administration is necessary for a modern economy to work effectively. The initiative of the Ministry of Justice with regards to digitalizing the National Court Register is worthy of support. Although the changes are still only a draft of amendments to an act, so we still do not know how specific regulations will look like, the analysis of the problem and the conclusions drawn from it are appropriate – assesses Piotr Wołejko, expert of Employers of Poland.

The National Court Register should be fully digitalized and enable both the access to and publication of information. This will ensure the data is transparent and up-to-date – both characteristics are key in business transactions.

Due to the early stage of the legislative process it is hard to tell what the final form of the act will be. The guidelines are encouraging, what will be decisive is how they translate to actual regulations.

Sadly, the deadlines established by the authors of the draft can be a cause for concern. Full implementation is scheduled for as late as 2019.
