On August 20th in Berlin, President of Employers of Poland Andrzej Malinowski met with Stephan Kohler, Chairman of the German Energy Agency and Jacek Robak, Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy. The participants summarized the effects of the Polish-German Energy Summit, which took place on June 12th and agreed that the event was an important forum for dialog on issues of energy between our countries.
Employers of Poland and the German energy agency agreed to establish a working group featuring representatives of Polish and German business, who will meet several times a year to discuss the opportunities and barriers for cooperation between Polish and German energy sectors. The group will include high-ranking representatives of energy producers (including green energy producers), transmission networks, as well as energy recipients.
The first meeting of the working group was tentatively scheduled for September in Warsaw. Stephan Kohler suggested Andrzej Malinowski should assume honorary patronage over the initiative and coordinate its activities.
The participants also agreed that the results of the meetings of the working group should be presented to ministers responsible for energy in both countries and that the Summit should be an annual event.
