Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Employers of Poland established Pharmaceutical Platform


The inaugural meeting of the Pharmaceutical Platform was attended by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health Sławomir Neumann, and representatives of the innovative pharmaceutical companies. Ewa Grenda, General Director of Roche Poland, President of the Association of Employers of Innovative Pharmaceutical Companies INFARMA became the Chairwoman of the Platform.


- Platforms functioning within the Organization are meant to be forums for dialogue and cooperation between representatives of employers, companies and experts.  The purpose of this forum is mainly to  develop solutions and projects that will serve the industry - reminded Andrzej Malinowski, President of Employers of Poland. In his opinion, such a strong and representative body turns out to be a much better partner for the Ministry of Health than a single company. - Our experience shows that the platform are very effective. Innovative companies were invited first to participate in the latest venture due to their large contribution to the Polish GDP - said the President of Employers of Poland.


Sławomir Neumann expressed his satisfaction with the emergence of a new, strong partner for dialogue with the Ministry of Health. He also pointed to the need include companies producing generic medicines in the Platform so that is represented the whole pharmaceutical sector. He also assured that every Minister of Health will have to take into account the positions of the Platform, and most importantly - will not worry that particular interests of one group are pushed through.


Ewa Grenda, General Director of Roche Poland, the President of the Employers' Union of Innovative Pharmaceutical Companies INFARMA was appointed the chair of the Pharmaceutical Platform. She presented the outline of the planned work of the Platform. She also assured meeting participants that she would try to build the strongest possible representation of companies and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Health.


- Health policy is one of the most important aspects of socio-economic activity of the state. Establishing the Platform, we set ambitious goals. We want to stimulate meaningful dialogue among all the stakeholders that are part of the health care system. I believe that together we can work out solutions that I will effectively support its development, bringing direct benefits to patients - said Ewa Grenda closing the first meeting of the Pharmaceutical Platform.
