Science for business, business for science – such is the motto of the second edition of the Polish Economic Congress. The event, organized by Employers of Poland, will be held on October 22-23rd at the Business Club Halls of the National Stadium in Warsaw.
– The Polish Economic Congress is already a recognized and respected brand – supported by the expertise of Employers of Poland – says Andrzej Malinowski, president of the Organization. – The previous installment of the Congress, focused on Polish energy, has resulted in many reports and recommendations which provide an appropriate diagnosis of the most pressing issues of the energy sector and formulate programs for improvement – he explains. – This year’s Congress will be concerned mostly with issues of fundamental importance for the development of our country. We have chosen the title “Science for business, business for science”. In our opinion, business has a responsibility towards academics, but scientists also have to actively participate in creating a modern, competitive economy. Harmonious cooperation between business, science and education is necessary – stresses the President of Employers of Poland.
During the Congress, a discussion on legislative, organizational and financial solutions, which could facilitate contacts between entrepreneurs and academics and create effective cooperation mechanisms, will take place.
Guests will include a.o.: President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, Minister of Science and Higher Education Lena Kolarska-Bobińska, Chairman of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, Chairman of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development Bożena Lublińska-Kasprzak, Director of the National Centre for Research and Development prof.
