Minister of Regional Development, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, met representatives of entrepreneurs in a series of debates entitled “New opening. The government side - employers".
- The Employers of the Republic of Poland want to be involved in the discussion concerning the distribution of the EU funds – said Andrzej Malinowski, the President of the Employers of Poland.
The Minister of Regional Development reminded of the ongoing negotiations on the EU budget for 2014-2020. – We are most likely to get more than 67 billion Euros that were granted to us for 2007-2013. Under the economic crisis conditions it is a great success - said Minister Bieńkowska. It will already be the final such a big budget for Poland, because in 2020 additional 5 to 6 Polish provinces are likely to exceed the threshold of 75 percent of the average GDP per capita in the EU.
The discussion with entrepreneurs focused mainly on the ideas of the European Commission on the parameters of the future cohesion policy, as well as its cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Development. Entrepreneurs complained about the bureaucracy and regulations that in many cases even prevent the financing of specific projects from the EU funds.
