The coalition partners’ compromise on retirement pensions is a chance for everyone

- The agreement reached by the coalition parties as for the parameters of the retirement pension reform provides a chance of the quick implementation of the necessary changes. The introduction of these modifications in relation to the earlier announcement will ease social tensions – says Andrzej Malinowski, the President of the Employers of Poland.

According to President Malinowski, the introduction of the so-called partial retirement pensions is a decision consistent with the demands saying that the society should have a certain scope of discretion to decide when to retire.

In his opinion, extending the retirement age is a necessity - both because of the condition of the social security system and the demographic situation. – In order for the whole reform to be successful, there should also, among others, be included: more flexible labour legislation, changes in rules of operation of public employment services, supporting the development of the third insurance pillar, and, above all, creating optimal conditions for economic development – says President Malinowski. According to the Employers of Poland, the primary aim of the reform is the stability of the retirement pension system.
