The Ministry of Finance, being anxious to save the budget, will clip wings of the companies from the SMEs sector

The Ministry of Finance wants to conduct some changes in the system of calculation of social insurance contributions. They are supposed to be depending on the amount of the income, and not so far on the average salary.

According to the Employers of Poland, implementing the change could bring additional revenues to the budget, but only for a short time. - Higher premiums may increase the propensity of entrepreneurs for entering “the grey area”, or for recording business abroad where the burden for small businesses in the form of health insurance premiums is smaller - says Piotr Rogowiecki, an expert of the Employers of Poland.

The government could achieve better effect, both in terms of public finance and business development, eliminating pension benefits for certain professional groups.
