The conference the summarizing the international project „Models of managing vocational training in light of current social and economic challenges was held on June 24th in Bilbao. The conference was focused on presenting the results of a two-year cooperation between Employers of Poland and business and education organizations from Spain, Belgium and Slovakia.
Partners of the project presented lifelong learning models from their countries and examples of good practices such as mentoring, certification standards, financing for education and tripartite consultations. Participants received a good practice handbook for SMEs. The publication presents solutions with regards to: assessment of training needs, skill development strategy, financing training, assessment and recognition of skills acquired in non-formal education and the participation of employers’ organizations and trade unions in managing lifelong learning in SMEs.
Employers of Poland cooperated with the Basque Lifelong Learning Foundation – Hobetuz, Belgian Retail Sales Employers’ Association BuurtSuper.be, Belgian Employers’ Training Centre – PMO and Slovak consulting company EuroFormes. During the conference, Employers of Poland were represented by prof. Andrzej Rabczenko and Justyna Hadyniak.
