Already in two weeks provisions of the new Act on the preparation and implementation of strategic investments in transmission networks will come into force. Employers of Poland has long fought for these regulations, because they will allow to unlock and quickly implement projects which have up till now taken years.
The fact that Bronisław Komorowski signed of the so-called Superact on transmission will significantly speed up and facilitate the process of development and modernization of key power lines. This is an important step towards strengthening the country's energy security and ensuring a stable electricity supply. Necessary investments have so far been slowed down by many lengthy procedures and disputes with property owners. Superact stipulates that if the owner does not come to an agreement with the investor, or the provincial governor, they may refer the matter to the court. However, this will not stop the investor from the realization of the planned investment. We should remember that we are talking about the most important from the point of view of national energy security high-voltage lines, the construction of which will be partly co-financed from EU funds.
