Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.

Social responsibility and ethics in business – a survey of Polish and Turkish managers

Anatolian University is conducting a research project that aims to compare approaches of Polish and Turkish managers to issues of social responsibility and ethics in business. Employers of Poland encourage you to actively participate in this study and provide support to Mrs. Marta Hancyk Başar –directly responsible for the study.

Comparison of the managers of both countries was chosen because of similar geopolitical and regional aspirations, similar economic and social problems associated with CSR, intensifying business contacts and visits at ministerial and presidential levels between the two countries, organization of joint business ventures (e.g. Polish-Turkish Business Forum) and the 600th anniversary of establishing Polish-Turkish diplomatic relations in 2014.

The study aims at companies that employ at least 50 employees, are private Polish companies (not Polish branches / subsidiaries of foreign companies). They do not need to have any commercial contacts with Turkey.

We are seeking for managers from all departments (marketing, HR, PR, finance, communication etc.). The manager does not need to have knowledge on ethics and corporate social responsibility. We are keen to examine their views on very general issues of ethics and CSR.

The form that is used during the study does not include any questions about your business. The caller / person interviewed chooses the extent to which agrees with the view on a scale of 1-5 (from strongly agree to strongly disagree).

For the sake of  comfort of people surveyed and the credibility of the entire project, the most preferred form of the survey is a short meeting in Warsaw, conducted between 17th August and 10th  September this year.

However, it is possible to do the survey over the phone fill in an electronic questionnaire: http://goo.gl/forms/jt8bKBIa4P

At the beginning and end of the survey there is a request to send a message with information about filling out the form (the survey is anonymous, however, such information is needed to document the veracity of the study).

Survey participants can receive a brief report of the study results after completion of the project. Upon request they can also be notified of research publications in English and Turkish science magazines and have access to the article.

We hope that the list of differences and similarities in approach of Polish and Turkish managers to issues of ethics and corporate social responsibility will be useful information for potential business partners who are planning to start operations in Poland or Turkey.

The answers given during the test will not be used for any purposes other than scientific and transferred to an unauthorized person, organization. I have an letter from the coordinator confirming that and he will gladly present it to any interested company.
