Legislation Monitoring Centre
In Poland there is neither an internet portal nor an institution for employers responsible for monitoring the legislation process of regulations that determine the rules for business activity. At present employers  learn about changes in the law mainly from mass media or simply through the grapevine, usually with delay.



Hiring people with disabilities is profitable to all


A debate on “Why employers should employ the disabled? Supported employment. Examples of good practice.” was held at the seat of the Employers of Poland. - There is nothing surprising in the fact that companies approach the issue of employing the disabled with mistrust. It is the fear that seems to be one of the biggest barriers. The aim of our activity is that we want both parties to benefit from employing the representatives of that social group - said Michael Evans, a consultant for the employment of the disabled, the former President of the European Union of Supported Employment "UESE ".


The fear of disability was also mentioned by Jan Zając, the President of the National Polish Organization of Employers of the Disabled (POPON). - Please note, however, that this fear is on both sides - said Zając. - The disabled are afraid of being confronted with the reality, with an open labour market; the employers, in turn, fear that such an employee will not be fully efficient. We should avoid such stereotypes - added the chairman of the POPON.
