CSO data indicate further economic slowdown

The data of Central Statistical Office concerning unemployment and retail sales in September herald the continuation of the economic slowdown. - Further readings showing decline in consumption growth, with a gradual increase in the unemployment rate, are expected in the next few months - says Piotr Rogowiecki, the Director of the Centre of Legislation Monitoring of the Employers of Poland.

According to the expert, a dramatic meltdown in those areas should not be expected in the next months, but certainly the fact that the lower consumption growth will translate into lower economic growth shouldn’t e overlooked. According to the expert of the Employers of Poland, there is an urgent need for more flexible regulations concerning work hours. - What depends on it is the number of jobs that will be kept with further weakening of the economy situation - he explains.
